Quranic Calligraphy Expo Held in Peshawar

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An exhibition of Quranic calligraphy and illustration was mounted in Peshawar, Pakistan.

 

The Iranian Culture House hosted the exhibition on Sunday and Monday.

The University of Peshawar cooperating in organizing the event.

 It showcased 85 calligraphy and illustration works featuring verses from the Quran and poems in the Urdu and Persian languages.

A number of local scholars and officials, including Mohammad Atif Khan Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Tourism, Culture, Sports, Archaeology and Youth Affairs, visited the exhibition.  

They underlined the importance such events in promoting the cultural ties between the two countries.
